1971 31 cruiser steering cable replacent

hi, all , I just purchased my new 1971 31 cruiser
my question is I have to repair, /replace the lower helm steering cable
it works fine from the flybridge,
does anybody have any info on this, according to my owners manual it suppose to have a chain drive, but in looking if from the back from the bathroom access panel, it looks like a teleflex rack set up,
any info would be greatly apprecicated

The trjan owners mannels I have seen are kind of a one size fitt all , also when you have a boat 30 plus years old things like the steering may have beed changed / upgraded ( and in some cases down graded ) . I would go with what you see . if it looks like a teleflex rack its a good chance it is .
