sandblasting

Post by Rodman »

My Rail Hinges were in bad shape when I remove the rail to redo it. So I sand blasted them. Then I used 80 grit sand paper then some 220 and then 320 on them they turned out better then they were.

Railing hinge hardware

Post by gumper »

I am going to refinish my railings in the spring. My hinges are ok except the spring for the release is missing out of one of them. I thought I saw new hinges for sale at Beacon Marine But I can't find them anymore.
Does anyone know if you can still get parts or new ones anywhere?

You can remove the pin in that hinge. It screws out so you can replace the spring.
