Both Cape Charles and Hampton sound like fun, don't forget Smithfield also. This month is already booked with family stuff, harborfest in Norfolk and a obx vacation. I have another week booked in obx at the beginning of August as well. Maybe mid July or mid August would work for me.

On a side note...
I helped a friend transport his dinghy down to the marina this past weekend. We put it in the water and rowed up to the Cutty Sark bar and had a few drinks and then rowed back to the marina. It was nice to get back to the basics.

Paul,
Yeah, I was originally going to try and get to Kinsale but it doesn't look like my schedule will allow it. And there's no way I can make it to Solomons. Summer is just too short...

We just did the Blackbeard festival in Hampton this past weekend. There's plenty of dining, hotel, pool and Saturday night music festivals just down the block. Kate has plenty of availability for the weekend of the 16th (Bruce in the USA -tribute band) and 30th (Hot Cakes - Motown, Beach, Oldies, and a touch of Country).

See: http://www.vasc.org/celebrationsbytheba ... tfest.html

With 7 boats or more, Hampton will give us a free night with two paid. Any better rates too.
