I'm looking at buying a 78 Trojan F-32. Underneath forward floor panel butting against the lower bow cabin sleeping area on the floor is a drain area where there is planking perpendicular to the stringers. It is rotted out from water runnning underneath. Is this needed for overall support of the hull and structure (bulkhead), or is it just holding up the floor? It is only the most forward piece. The others running towards rear are all glassed nice and in good condition. Should this stop me from buying boat becasue of safety concerns? If it just holds uop the floor I can easily replace and glass in another piece.
Thanks in advance
