I found mine In a 4x5 inch hatch in the ceiling at the bottom of the stairs in the cabin. It also grounded the running light.

10 was the most adults we took out in comfort, Everyone had a seat. I did take 16 ( kids included) out once and we were bumping into each other

Check out the post " 11 meter fuel tank sensor". I cut a access hole to put in a new sensor.

What does Harry think about so many of his boats being around 30- 40 years later.

Interested in a temp guage if it matches mine.

The instructions have you test different placement of the transducer buy putting a sand bag over it and checking the reading. I had luck with my first location. The epoxy is a low noise epoxy. It also says the transducer can be mounted up to a 10 degree angle with no loss. Lots of info on their web ...

Your correct. The transducer is held by the adhesive I bought at West Marine for this application. No witchcraft used this time.
