Re: 360 does not run at idle
Thanks for all the replies. I replaced the fuel/water separator and pre-filling it with fresh fuel. No love, so that eliminated bad gas. Then I tackled the next easiest job - the cap and rotor, and viola, back in business. Several cans of seafoam added to all the tanks for good measure.

360 does not run at idle
Had the boat laid up for a couple of months on the hard to do some maintenance. I launched it and now one of the motors is having some trouble running at idle. It's fine above 1000 RPM and I don't hear any misfires. I'm thinking spark or fuel, and probably leaning on fuel since it was laid up. I'm h...

Re: Insta Trim / Boat leveler parts
I just want the seals thanks. I think it's ridiculous to replace an entire piston for a minor leak. If I were to invest that kind of money, I would go with something like Bennetts that have parts that are serviceable and available. I'm just going to put it back together despite the leak hoping a lit...

Re: Insta Trim / Boat leveler parts
We're at the point of playing phone tag now. At least that's a step in the right direction. I work 12 hour days in a high-secure environment, so personal phone calls are not easy. I wish I could just be directed to a form or website etc and just pay the man. The boat goes back in hell or high water ...

Re: Insta Trim / Boat leveler parts
That's the same number I used and we'll see if they get back to me. In all honesty, if they don't, screw it. It goes back on. I'd rather top off the fluid every couple of months than put that kind of money into it. I'm 99% sure this boat is on the sale block after it splashes... All it has to do is ...

Insta Trim / Boat leveler parts
I have an origional set of insta-trim trim tabs and one of the pistons is leaking a little. I've looked high and low for a rebuild kit and can't find one. I tried the web site, sent several emails, and left voice mails with no response. No phone number listed on the site - I was provided one by TheH...

Re: 1972 F-36 port motor problems
If you noticed the problem after the primer pump was bypassed, than there is a high probability this may be related to you issue. I imagine you only really need it for starting, however, it could be also acting as a surge valve delivering more fuel when needed. My only question is why was it bypasse...

Re: PROP SIZE
HI ALL, IM TRYING TO FIND THE RIGHT PROP SIZE FOR MY BOAT. I'm in the same "boat" as you... However, I do have the correct stated props on mine. Upon doing some research it seems most F-Model trojans fall well below manufacturer performance numbers and standard expectations. The coveted 2...

Re: ? Raw Water Cooling in the Salt ?
I added flush valves to my raw water cooled boat. I just hook up a garden hose and run the motors for about 5 minutes.

Re: Am I under propped?
Welp? The second set of props I have are just a touch bigger than the ones mounted. I had the origional props pulled and confirmed they are 16x16. At this point, I'm not really sure where to go with this. The bottom get scraped every 3 months and the dive report always says "excellent" for...

Re: Am I under propped?
I can see them fine.....bunch of blue squares with question marks in em.....I always liked Bill, some real good out take videos, funny. So the new question, how fast at 1500 rpm or so....I was about 5.5 knt before going to 16x16 then 1500-1600 would produce about 7-7.5 knots.....still with the hull...
