Re: Looking for a few good boaters for Norfolk Harborfest
Bret, where is your boat? We're at Little Creek. See a few Trojans around there. I've got friends' boats at East Beach and Vinings. Mine is in Hampton on the hard for now. Hoping to get it in the water and over that direction mid-fall timeframe. Maybe we'll see you! We'll probably still be working ...

Re: Looking for a few good boaters for Norfolk Harborfest
I've been off the forum for a while and just saw this. I really hope you do this again next year. And I really hope our Trojan is done by then!

Re: Cherry wood on deck?
Thanks for the suggestion. I don't think I could put a plastic floor in the boat. It just wouldn't feel right, especially since it was wood originally. The boat was given to us by friends who inherited it when their dad died. They were told by the appraiser that whoever bought it would probably sell...

Re: Cherry wood on deck?
I did, and it seems pretty consistent with Big D's advice. You have to protect it. Any advice on the best way to do that?

Re: Cherry wood on deck?
And just to clarify - y'all know I'm still learning the language of boats - we used teak when we rebuilt everything under the deck. No worries there!

Re: Cherry wood on deck?
Thanks for your thoughts. We replaced everything down to the hull, so the support under the wood is solid. It could be the floor. But your point about it moving is well taken. We can't keep it dry forever. The strips were about $2.50 each, so I'm thinking it might be worth giving it a shot then mayb...

Pretty! This is on our list, too. Do you have any photos of your interior? I'd love to see.

Cherry wood on deck?
Hello, everyone! I've got a question about wood. If you recall, Chris and I have a 76 F32. We've been agonizing about replacing the teak on the back deck because of the expense. Most everything else we can do as we can afford, but this we wanted to get done. We ended up getting a stunning deal on 50...

Re: Removing Vinyl From Interior
Greetings! So I finally got back to the vinyl removal project. Thanks for all your advice. First, I am firmly convinced that the good folks at Trojan never intended for any sane person to take the stuff off. On the place where I'd already taken off the top layer, I ended up sanding. Just needed a le...
