Something is up because I keep seeing multi-posts here. So the dealer (Mike) calls me back today. The owner is really eager to sell but is going to wait only 10 more days before moving the boat out of it's current Marina because it is costing him too much. Supposedly he is moving CLOSER to San Franc...

Not sure what caused the multi-posts, but thanks, those are some excellent ideas. So the dealer calls today and apparently the guy is talking about moving the boat elsewhere (?????) and is getting desperate to do something. I left him a message and I'll see where things stand when he calls back tomo...

Thanks, I very much appreciate any input at all as I am new to larger (yacht-type) boats as an owner. I am 6'3", so the minute I boarded I knew that it was the kind of boat for me. Plenty of room everywhere - I would even feel comfortable living aboard it if necessary. I intend to be very caref...

No, I use nothing BUT full synthetics in my SUV and Volkswagen (turbo - required) and I have little or no issues ever in regards to wear and tear stuff. i have been doing that now for over ten years, and I plan to use the same in the boat I eventually buy.

Use me as an example. Look under my header (Considering a 1986 F32) and you might get an idea of who you might be selling to. I can easily afford to keep a boat like you have to either work on immediately or have as a project. However, I am a fairly astute buyer. I am by no means a boat - or Trojan ...

Got a call from the broker sales guy this afternoon. "Just wondering where you're at with that boat thing". I told him that I have been doing my homework and that it will take me at least 10K to get the boat into the condition that I have to have it in to be usable for my family. His respo...

Wowzer, Thanks so much for the info. I have been running some searches, but I may be either limiting the search too much or not looking in the right places. I am no computer wizard (that is my fiancee the web designers' job ;-), so I often labor through searches. I appreciate the links and I will ru...

There are not very many Trojans at all in our area here. We had looked at a LOT of different boats to try to narrow down what would work best for us. The F32 was the last one we were going to see on our last boat shopping trip and my fancee fell for it immediately. For myself, it is exactly the body...

Thanks, I didn't realize that you can't run a normal exhaust, etc. with the Honda. I would like to know more about the inverter. I honestly don't know much about them. How does it compare to having a running a/c generator? I would guess that cost is significantly less than a Marine Onan or similar g...

I would think that you could probably find a shell or shell pieces to (in low density fiberglass) that would still look nice and be water impervious for an internal shower.

The Norcold is the one I was looking at online, but the prices are not to different - like you said. I was also thinking of installing something a little bigger by increasing the cabinet frame there (as long as I keep the weight down i think it will work OK, but if anyone thinks it will overbalance ...

That is kind of where we are at. The guy has dropped 10-15k in price over three months of listing. I figure to come in low (with the addendum that we have to put in @10k worth of electronics to get it to OUR idea of usable as a family cruiser), and see what happens. If he doesn't go for it, then we ...

Considering a 1986 F-32 convertible

Hello all! looking for Trojan info and I came across this board. We are looking very seriously at purchasing a 1986 F-32 convertible here in the California Delta region. I was hoping to get some info from current Trojan owners in order to be more objective in the negotiations. The asking price is 29...
