Relatively New to Forum
Relatively new owner. We purchased a 1985 Trojan F-36 Tri-cabin in June of 2017 unseen. She was docked at St. Croix Marina in Hudson, Wisconsin. We got a survey with sea trial and a separate engine survey. I flew up from Florida and with two friends we motored the boat down the Mississippi River to Cairo, Illinois. Then up the Ohio River to Paducah, Kentucky. We turned south in the Tennessee River through Kentucky Lake. Down to Pickwick Lake in Mississippi and the Tenn-Tom Waterway all the way to Mobile Bay.
Changed crew in Mobile. Friends left and wife (Admiral) joined to motor the Intracoastal Waterway to Dog Island near Carrabelle, Florida. Then across the Gulf to Cedar Key and down to Fort Meyers. Because Irma was on the way I took the boat solo through the Okeechobee waterway to Stuart, Florida. The wife returned for the last leg of the trip, the Intracoastal Waterway up to Jacksonville, Florida.
We now have the boat docked in Key Largo.

We had a great time. Many dams and locks. Many small towns and geological features. The river gave us a 4 knot push. We only docked about once every several days. Except staying docked a week in Mobile and a week in Ft Myers. Of course we had some repairs along the way.
Making repairs and learning the boat now.

Re: Relatively New to Forum
The whole trip took about 6 weeks but we stayed a week in Mobile and a week in Ft Myers. Rough estimate of distance is 1,850 miles. Guessing on fuel by days is 1,500 gallons and by miles (one mile per gallon) is 1,850.
