So my King AP-2000 autopilot is not working. I decided to take it off and look at it’s innards.
I can’t get the ding dang steering wheel off. The nut spins off pretty easily. But the wheel just sits there mocking me. It won’t budge. Some corrosion maybe? Any ideas on how to pull that thang off without breaking something...or me?
It’s a ‘76 F26

Re: Steering Wheel?
This is what your going to have to do. Check some auto parts stores to see if they have one to rent or even just loan you.

Re: Steering Wheel?
Ok...I went shopping for a wheel puller...then a gear puller, then a harmonic balancer puller.
Anybuddy got pics? I can’t find the right gadget for the job. “Steering wheel pullers” are really expecting a automobile type while with common hardware. Nothing I’ve seen seems to fit my wheel
