On my Trojan boat F36 built in 1973 it has four tanks, my back tanks apparently according to the old owner they were contaminated and he had them pumped out, how can they be cleaned and used again?
Also. I normally fuel up both the port and starboard sides, I will put 150 dollars in each side. If one side runs out of fuel can you crossover and draw fuel from one tank to both engines? I was told by the old owner that you could not but I can't believe that to be true and I know this gentleman didn't own this boat very long.

Re: Fuel System
How are the contaminated ? It could be rusty inside 47 year old tanks ? replace them . If one thank runs dry close the valve to the tank and open the cross over
