oil cooler? Connections?

Post by cuppa »

Any one know what the red bands are? I assume they are something to replace the crimp connection.. I have never seen them before.. The cooler was replaced and these are now leaking....

Any thoughts?

Check the link can't get picture to sho up..

It's part of the hose and connector. I just replaced mine last year...they allow the fitting to swivel. The new hoses come with the fittings.

What's the year and engine application?

it does...

So the red band is some time of faster? is it plastic?

Does it fit down in to the rubber hose?

Pay no attention to the red band. Order new hoses and the elbow fittings as needed and be done.

So are they new hoses if they have red bands on them or is this some type of aftermarket fix?

Did they replace the cooler and not use new hoses?

I believe they are original. The parts listed previously are from Crusader.

I know yellow bands are used to ID parker pushloc and weatherhead barb-tite fittins . these are both clampless fittings.
