What your talking about is Spar Varnish.

That's what is used all over my F44 on the Teak. It usually lasts 3-5 years depending upon how much sun it's exposed to.
It makes the wood look all shiny and nice. It's a good way to coat the Teak, but I understand it's not for everyone. I personally love it and am getting ready to redo the wood up on the bow with it again. Mine has been on there for 4-5 years now and only the wood that sees the sun while at dock is flaking, the rest is still beautiful.

I did the same thing randyp did with his, and it came out awsome!! thanks for the ideas

removed, stripped, refinished and reinstalled!!! Think it turned out pretty good.
