I have a 1986 TrojanF27 , Ihad a water problem with stains showing
up on material on cabin port side. I removed material, & some interior
wood that was rotted inspots. I resealed around window & cleats,&
bow rail, wiated aday thensprayed it down with a hose. I then found
that water was seeping in around the external rub rail. Upon checking
further, it appears that a good portion of the wood strips &blocks need
to be replaced, It also seems that Trojan when this boat was built did
not caulk anything in there. I plan to replace all bad wood &seal all
new marine ply that I will install, also I am planning to thru bolt
everything with stainless bolts nuts, & washers asI have done with the
bowrail. If anyone has any suggestions or helpful hints please reply
to website, or you can e-mail me at mgavin2@cogeco.ca
Thanks a lot Mike Gavin
