Don't you need the steps for going down between the gally and lower area? Or do you already have steps there? Maybe an extra set of steps someone placed onboard?

My buddy's later model F36 has setps which are hinged and lift up, reveiling access to the forward engine compartment area and water heater, etc.

Those steps are definitely used to go from the galley to the lower hall.

My F36 didn't come with the second state room. Trojan put a dinette in that location. The table drops down and the cushions fill in to form a bed. I find the dinette much more usable then a state room. It also opens up the lower level. Since you are missing parts and you will need to rebuild the room, you may want to convert it.

At the moment I can’t take any pictures because of me deck coring project, but I would think someone could post what the dinette looks like.

LOVE the look of the boat. have never seen an older boat with the hull colored like that.

question: where did you have it done, or do you know of how expensive/difficult it would be to have one done like that?

is it paint? gelcoat?

Tuck,
The hull was painted blue about 7 years ago by a previous owner. I've seen two other with painted blue hulls. JuiceClark (often posts to this site in FL), and one for sale in I see from time to time in TX.

Ours was done with Interlux Brightside. I've done boats with this product before. You can actually roll it on and tip if off with a brush, it evens out and looks like a mirror when done. From what I understand, the paint is actually more durable than gelcoat. It takes a day to cure to the touch, about a month later, its hard an wears like iron.

I've been re-surfacing the deck surfaces this spring. I'll take some pictures this weekend.

Oh yea, cost, its about $80-$100 a gallon depending on where you buy it. The hull from the water line to the rub rail would take about 2 gallons of primer (2-3 coats) and then about 2 gallons of topside paint. http://www.yachtpaint.com explains the process.
