SB Water Temp and Fuel Guage pegged to right and not Op

Post by dollarbill1963 »

Left last weekend and everything was fine... yesterday... Water temp and fuel guage on Starboard side are now not operating and are pegged to the right. (I think this is a clue as to what may be the problem) Sending unit was replaced last year on Water temp.

Do I have a grounding issue??

Sounds like a ground problem.

Somewhere there is a grounded circuit. Full ground to these gauges will peg the needle. The problem lies between the senders and the gauge.
