Identifying my newly purchased Trojan

Greetings all:

I just purchased a 1969 31' Trojan...mahogany plank, twin Chrysler 318s which sound and run strong. The vessel is located in the California Delta (fresh water Sacramento River) and is in dry dock having the bottom caulked, painted, zincs etc.

It has a flybridge. However, where do I find out exactly which model of Trojan this is?

Adam, congtrats on the new vessel! To display a photo here, you need to copy it to a photo sharing website, like Photobucket or Flickr (make sure the image is set for public viewing) and insert the URL of the photo in your post. Search for how to post photos and you will find more detailed instructions. Pick a size that's not too wide more than about 600 to 800 pixels wide makes the photo too wide to fit in the forum and viewers will have to scroll horizontally to see the width of the picture.

As soon as you get a picture up i'll take a peek. I tried the address you had but it didn't work. Had to rescue a 66 32' Ventnor today. Raw water pump seized up.

When I am on my profile page and try to cut and paste the URL from Flickr, I get an error message saying:

The URL of the remote avatar is not valid.

This is what I am trying to load up:

Ahh ! A Sea Voyager Sedan ! It has a factory bridge too, SWEET ! That was the most popular boat EVER BUILT , of any builder. When you prep your bottom use Slick-Seam & a stiff putty knife & get it up in the cracks real good.(no toilet rings!) Don't be bashful with the slick seam & you'll get a nice tight bottom. 2 1/2 to 3 cans the first time should do it. Then next spring you should only need 2 for the whole bottom. Keep the decks sealed with Sikkens so the plywood under the teak doesn't get wet. The natural shade works good & you keep the teak the way it should look. Nice Boat ! You're gonna love your woody.

Thanks for the encouragement (and for getting the picture of Galleggiare up on the Forum site). I'm glad to be part of the Trojan family.

1967 seavoyager...or others, please help me to identify the model (chagrined that I don't know it myself, but I bought it from someone with even less knowledge than myself is that's even possible!) -- I would be grateful.

(PS ~ If anyone is curious, "Galleggiare" is Italian and translates: 'to float')

Hi Adam, welcome and congrats on the new boat. I have a 1972 30' Flybridge that looks just like your but mine is fiberglass. When I purchased it I was told it was a "30 foot Sea Raider" w/fly bridge..............anyway, looks very close. You are going to love your boat.........

for your avatar, the small size is best: try this url:

to fit your pic within a post without horizontal scrolling, use medium, 500x
click Img in the menu above, past in the url, then click Img again. You can preview below your editing window to verify it displays properly. I stuck in the ** below to display what the code looks like.

If you copy the line above, delete the ** before and after the URL, you should display the medium sized pic. Like this:
