FX-1 Retrofit A/C Controller Troubleshooting

Post by mkcoxn »

My 87 10 meter express has the factory a/c which is located on the forward engine room bulkhead amidship. I believe it has the FX-1 controller. I am looking for someone that has a troubleshooting guide for this unit. Not the owners manual, but a service manual. Also if anyone knows where i could possibly get a replacement controller. I am leaning towards a bad controller. I have talked to local a/c technicians and they won't touch it. I guess it is now up to me to fix it?? I am a prior marine mechanic and a good manual for this thing and i think i can lick it.

Why not just call them and speak with technical service? They can probably help you out over the phone...good luck.

Striperman, I did call them. The woman who answered the phone was not very friendly or helpful at all. All she could tell me was to mail in the unit and they may be able to fix it.

Do you know of anyone else who know's these units?
