Service Manual

Post by Boaterguy »

I am looking for a Service Manual for my 318 LM, I have the binder that came with the boat, including the original service manual, but would like to have a more comprehensive resource (eg. Clymer or Seloc). Does anyone know where I can find one for my 1975 engine. (I have checked Ebay, and did not see one)

She is running great, but I would like to have it before fall.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the information- a great site!

I see they have a number of options available. Could you tell me which one you have?

Thanks

I purchased a very comprehensive one specifically that covers full tear down and rebuild, including carbrator for the LM318 in my boat.

It came from Marysville marine http://www.marysvillemarine.com/catalog/catsec14.asp

Here is the link to the actual order page
http://www.marysvillemarine.com/catalog/pg733-745.pdf

I think they sold it to me directly with persuasion but usually only sell to dealers, so the next time I ordered somthing from them like the carb rebuild kits I went to the local boat shipyard store (marina, not big box store)
and found with the dealer prices it all washed out the same price as if I went direct, and I got them in 2 days anyway.

I would highly recommend this one, if you are looking for more of a technical shop manual.

I've got a 1977 318, 4bbl, electronic ignition (well, what passed for EI 32 years ago). Everything on the engine is stock. It had 400 hours on it in 1999 when I bought the boat. Still runs strong. I bought the manual for 1968-1986 LM318 - part # Q817709565. Hope that helps.
