2010 Rendezvous (it's never too early)

Post by mytrojan »

Would anyone be interested in the Fingerlakes (NY) for a rendezvous? I could check with our yacht club on Cayuga Lake (near Ithaca, Cornell etc) to use their facilities if there is any interest.

Here is a link for NYS canals:

Kids love to go through the locks, lots to do in the area, although it isn't St. Thomas......

Sounds like a great idea . Its way to far for me but there should lots of trojans up that way . the hard part is letting them know . The Rendezvous at St mikes MD was great about 17 boats plus owners that came by land . all but 2 boats were from MD. Me from Va and of course Wes from Ct. I think it would be great to have one in NY . as well as other places , there used to be one in Mass. I belive . I wish there was one in Va I would have gone years ago .

You list your Location as Connecticut why not one there ? I know one boat that will be there

What about the upper Mississippi? A popular estination is the Treasure Island Resort and Casino. They have a hugeransient dock, about 40 slips all together and offer great packages with gaming credits and access to Hotel facilities like the pool for the kids when you stay at the Marina.

anyplace with a lot of trojans would be good the hard part is letting them know. I bet less then 1 out 10 trojan owners know about us

at the Md one ,very few of them did . They may have it in the Solomans Md next year , that would be better for me ,but I am afraid we would lose some folks due to the distance .

People just won't travel but so far , I sure can't spend $900+ bucks on fuel for this every year . :?

But if you want one near you GO FOR IT !! You only live once !!!!

I'd like to see one in tidewater too lots places here to have it from small to large we have it all. And more would come maybe if another make was invited. That has the same classic lines and design of Trojan's. And slow down to gaser speed Paul you'll save money and it'll get u ready for that retirement trawler. :P

Slowind down to gaser speed won't make any diffrence in fuel burn . Now is I slow down to trawler speed (7 knots ) I would . but it would take 20 hours to get to the same place I can get to in seven , that would be fine when I retire.
