We don't freeze up very often but once in a while we get a pretty hard one. One winter I had to break four inches of ice all the way out of the marina but once I was in the channel I could go. That was several years ago, but our winters are nothing like yours. I can't imagine having to pull the boat out and not be able to go boating and fishing in the winter. My heart goes out to you guys.

I didn't say they were wrong ( as Wowzer52 pointed out ) You take someones idea, and modify it to suit your application. If it works, run with it. Then the next time someone asks, you'll have the seventh idea.

Brought my boat to the boatyard today. Will get pulled in the next day or so. A very sad time of the year.

Scallywag got pulled last week. Wouldn't you know 65 on Sunday! I guess it could have been 32 and snow in upstate NY this time of year.

Yeah same here. Mine was pulled out this last weekend too. Sad day.

Odd note though from the mechanics, she has pickups and returns just for the Vdrives which is odd. The cooling for the Vdrives isn't part of the engine/tranny cooling system. Very odd, caused extra work in winterizing.

I also wanted to thank everyone for their tips. I took care of all the systems on her this year except the engines. I figure for the couple dollars they are charging to do it for me I would rather them be responsable than me.

Thanks all again.
