A lot of marinas forbid wooden boats , Ours will alow them but is very picky , trying to keep out may-floats and eyesores . Use to require a survey but got burnt now they will look at the boat first . A lot of folks will sign a lease and bring in a pos only leave it and disapear

i spoke with the marina owner yesterday and asked him this question and he said it was a liability issue. in addition they do not allow steel hulled boats there either. i keep my boat in the slip for the winter using the marina provided bubbler system. they make you sign a 'winter storage contract' that stipulates you will not 'be a live a board' during the winter. anything over an few over nights is considered a 'live a board' and they can terminate your contract. it's pretty strict, but i can see their point.
