I wrote over as month ago about how my hull number had been changed to a Michigan hull number and repeated the story given to me by the Secretary Of State's office in Michigan.
The boat was hauled out recently and I went to the marina today to get the canvas replacement underway since it was recently destroyed in a wind storm.
When I came down off of the boat and was standing next to the swim platform, I found the ORIGINAL Trojan hull number still on the boat. About everyone on the forum here told me to look on the stern right below the rub rail for the hull number. That is where I found the Michigan hull number.
The original Trojan hull number was on the stern right above the swim platform. There were two other Tri-cabins like mine in the boat yard and I went and checked and sure enough there they were - right above the swim platform not right below the rub rail.
So I now have two titles with two hull numbers and both are on the boat! Go figure.
I plan to cover over the Michigan hull number and use the title with the original hull number when I register it later this year.

my hull ID number is also just above the swim platform, starboard side... i looked at 2 other f-32's in my marina, one a 1987 model the other a 1989 model and they are in the same location as mine. on dad's tri cabin, a 1972 model, the hull ID number was in the same location as mine, just above the swim platform, starboard side, about 1/4 inch in height. some of the numbers are very hard to make out, so i took a magic marker, rubbed it on the numbers and then wiped away the excess. the marker filled in the numbers just fine. the same can be done with a little paint, then letting the color fade into the indented numbers and letters when wiped away. put some painters tape around the segment, and youre good to go when wiping away the damp paint.

The Original hull number is on the starboard side of the stern just above the swim platform. The Michigan hull number was placed on the starboard side of the stern just below the rub rail. When I posted the story earlier, most of the people posting comments said theirs was on the starboard side of the stern just below the rub rail. That is why I never looked above the swim platform because I found the Michigan number where everyone else said the hull number should be and didn't look any further.
