Boat just pulled for winter

Post by fourreins »

Question for all you experienced winterizing people. I am in Pittsburgh and they just pulled my boat yesterday for the winter. I am unable to get to the marina until Saturday and I see that the temp will dip to 29 tonight. I have Fresh water cooled Crusaders so I know that is fine but do I have to worry about the raw water side and freezing with just one night at this temp???

I think it would have to drop well below freezing and stay there for several hours before you would have a problem. A 3 degree difference for a few hours overnight will probably not hurt. I used to have an I/O on my former boat and had the same situation with no consequences.

As was stated before - just my 2
