You will have to trace the lines if it has a eng flush fitting it would have been added on also I belive both water fittings were not there from the factory on ever trojan I have have never seen a water fitting so close to a fuel fill . also you need to get some fuel caps you caps look like someting from a plumers supley . you may just want to change the complete fillers insead . looks like you got a nice boat good luck with it

Sea Ya,
Nice boat. Your boat is the first that I've seen that is almost identical to mine. Are you sure it isn't a F25.

http://www.putfile.com/vabeach1234/images/98775

Most other F25 or F26 hardtop trojans have different shaped side windows or wood cockpits.

Quick question, how is the canvas attached to the hard top? Is it possible to get a picture of that connetion. Thanks.

"26+", it sure does. When I bought my boat I always wondered what the difference was between the F25 and F26. My title states it as a 1972 F25 but I'm not 100% sure that is correct. Well it saves me a foot in transit fees though because it's a 25 foot when I have to pay by the foot. I'll measure as best I can to try to find out how long she is. I've been thinking about putting some curtains on or an enclosure straight down from the hardtop so I have some room for fishing. I like the side curtains that you have, I've been thinking about doing the same, my wife always seem to be the one that gets all the spray and I'm sure those curtain alone would keep the wind off you during the winter.

Yeah, I'm in Bay Point, you can see the grill in the back ground. Are you on Hampton Creek. I was just up there 3 weeks ago at Sunset to get gas. I paid 2.72 for 93 octane; earlier that day I paid 2.71 for 87 to put in my jeep, I couldn't believe it. Well worth the trip from Little Creek to Hampton, it was a beautiful afternoon. We're already planning our Hampton Bay days weekend.

prowlersfish,
I've been meaning to make an over night trip to the salt ponds but just there's too many destinations. I've visited that marina by car and seemed like a nice overnight trip, espeically with the pool. Neat little community.
I haven't gotten a slip yet for Bay Days, I'm gonna play it by ear this year. I've stayed at Bluewater Yachts twice before and had a good time but this time, I might anchor out. There's usually a group that goes up from Little Creek that rafts up and I might join them. The past two years, Blue Water Yachts has had slips available the day of the event due to cancelations. I think the price of gas has kept people away the past 2 years and everyone is starting to adjust/budget for the jack up in price.

Sea Ya,
Thanks for the pictures. Wow, you have no idea how much that helps. Some one gave me an estimate of $1600 to have a vertical curtain drop down to the floor of the cockpit and have the side curtains put in. For that price I can put in air conditioning. My wife would much rather have the A/C. I was looking at the Specs on 1972 trojans on this website and it appears they didn't make a F25 express that year, just the 25 sea raider and F26 Express. So I'm thinking my title is wrong. My hull numbers match the title so I'll just leave it and keep telling the marinas that I visit I have a 25 foot.
My engine is the 318 Chrysler with a Paragon V-drive. I believe the engine is 225hp. It's a work horse and not a speed demon. My prop is a 14 dia. X 11 picth, which is too much. I need a 14X10 pitch. The max rpms for the Chrysler is 4000 I believe and I can't reach that with my prop. But whats great is I cruise at 2500 rpms at about 17 mph. I don't push this boat too hard because the flat aft doesn't make it very good in rough seas. It's more of a lake boat in my opinion. On the flip side, I'd rather have a flat stern than a deep v because of the fuel economy. I'm really interested in the dimensions of my boat. I'll be measuring it this weekend. Hell maybe tomorrow I'll have a new boat, a 1972 F26.
Would you happen to have any pictures of the interior? I want to modify the cabinets so I can recess and mirowave under the shelf on top of the counter.

I bought the boat in Harve De Grace, MD and motored it down the bay. 222 miles in all on the hand held GPS that I have. With only 54 gallons of fuel capacity and not knowing our range when we bought the boat, we stopped in Annapolis for fuel and the Solomons Island for fuel and to stay the night. Of course we went to the Tiki Bar that night, what a blast. The next day we headed out and stopped at Gywnns Island for fuel and lunch and then straight into Little Creek.

Wow, long post.
