Need info on Cabin covering on 74 F26

Can anyone tell me what material was used to originally cover the exterior of the cabin. I just don't know if it was a vinyl or a coated canvas. I have a few areas that are wrinkling, also a few soft spots and it need to be replace. Any help would be much appreciated.

My 74 model 30' was covered with vinyl too get rid of it it will trap and hold water no mater how well its glued down
every crafts men ive had come and replace bad wood has said that the covering was the worst thing you can do
I would suggest not putting it back on even though it looks good
