Trojan 10 meter sportfish??

I'm considering a 1984 10 M sportfish which basically doesn't have the doors separating the cockpit/salon. After looking at many I have yet to find another like this..Anyone knowledgable of this model. Can the doors be added (wife likes them)
Also, does the flybridge have to come off to ship and does anyone have experience with doing so...Please advise..Paul

Okay...what you have is an 33' (10 meter) Express Bridge. A flybridge model, no salon. The cockpit and helm are open, with of course a ladder and upper helm. Not sure how you would go about enclosing the lower helm other than to use eisenglass/canvas.

I haven't seen one of these, except for the link below. Is this the boat you are looking at? Nice looking boat.

Thanks, But it appears to just be missing doors, rest is the same. It does have snaps for canvas I was told was factory.
Yes, I am seriously considering it price is right.

Is it built different since it doesn't have the framing for the doors? Paul

Two different boats Paul. The interior of what is your helm station, is nothing like the sedan....with a slider and back glass.

Yes, you are correct and I have seen those. They're nice. I was thinking I could spruce it up a bit and close it off and walla!!
I also heard sportfish are built a little tougher since they tend to take a beating. True?

Not as familiar with the meter boats as the F series but I believe... and someone more knowledgeable can chime in, that the hulls are the same for the same length models, regardless of the house structure.

The concept with the 10 meter boats built with liners and hollow stringers was:

1 each hull was the same
2. the "modules" would fit or be combined to build any style or combination of styles together.
3 These vessels were available as an express, sedan, aft cabin express, aft cabin with a raised bridge, and who knows what other configurations. This was a very successful and versatile hull for Trojan.

Ok got it guys, thanks for the input. Except for the guy who wants my boat.
So I take it no wood stringers?
What about reducing height for travel? Easy / Hard?

The mid cabin based models had wood stringers.

The earlier full liner models did not.

Look hard at the rear engine room bulkhead, it IS wood.

i couldn't do that to a guy! besides, if i got another boat i'd be living on it and that just isn't practical here at the north pole!
