My a/c unit is powered by the 120 ac circuit breaker in panel. Are you sure it isn't tripped? Sometimes they will trip the breaker on the pedestal on the dock as well. Is the control head a digital or rotory knob set up?
Do you get nothing when you turn on the a/c unit? If so, check power supply first. Also be sure to check that the a/c sea cock is open before you start it up next, maybe it was winterized and shut off before you bought the boat?

In addition to the breaker on the main panel, the original 16,000 btu Cruisair on my 10 meter did have a trip switch on the compressor system unit that the factory originally placed between the stringers in the engine room. As I recall it was a thin metal tab that would pop out of a small control box and was painted white just like everything else on the unist so it was difficult to locate.
When doing a complete refit in 2005 I replaced the unit and relocated it from the factory location by modifying the shelf where the vacuflush accumulator tank is located and relocating the raw water pump and vacuflush pump.
It was a more difficult job to do these modifications, (not really too bad with the engines out) however the subsequent servicing of all components is easier now as well as moving around in the engine room.
Good Luck,
RWS
