Tiffany Yachts Burned

Post by Stripermann2 »

Not a Trojan but beautiful ships nonetheless with lot's of heritage...the ship yard burned along with some really nice boats on Tuesday. We have some members who live down that way. Just passing this along to those interested. Sad to see this happen...

bummer. I'm sure the insurance guys will take a good look at any fire at a boat mfg. these days.
They did/do such beautiful work. This is one of my favorite boats on the market - look at the cockpit in the 4th picture:

They have clean up the property but have not yet started any construction, least as of two weeks ago when I drove by.

Got this info from Tiffany's facebook page,

Finally got power to the Dock and the Router Shop last week, which we needed as there is plenty of work that needs to be done. Poured the pads for the railway winches so that we can get everything hooked back up and the boats that were stored on the railway back over. Bids are due back on the building this week.

So it sounds like they are getting back on track!

I don't think this is the same fire but it is in Virginia. Frightening to look at.

Unfortunately you have to see a commercial first.
