an f30 is not a trawler no matter what power you put in it
A fast trawler is not a trawler It just looks the part

Life is to short for a ugly boat
It's an F-30 and they were available with single. But that boat looks whupped. If you can sea trial it and get it surveyed you'll at least be that far ahead of the game before buying a $2500 raft. The last thing you need is no power and broken hull out in the middle of the big bad wa wa.
I have a 30ft Fly bridge Sea Raider. It is perfect for 2 overnight. I would NOT want 4-6 for any over nighters.........4-8 for a cruise is fine but not overnight....very tight....IMO
What is attractive about that boat?
I hope it is not the price... something that cheap will never end up being of value.... how much money will one put into it... 2 times 3 times 4 times what you paid for it?
I would much rather put out $ 8/9K and get the twin I linked to earlier.. it looks like it needs hardly any work.
This one looks so bad I can't expect it does not have some serious problems.

I am not pursuing that boat. I would like an 30' or larger express hardtop trojan that is in decent shape- but with a bad engine or engines. I would then pic up a used detroit ot IH 7.3 diesel to push the boat at around 20knots. I am always looking for deals. Looked at a 28' chris craft catalina with a single screw, but that boat was also in terible shape, partial submersion, gauge in hull caused it to take on water. I really do not want to run a gas inboard. I mechanic on all my own stuff, and it is so easy to catch a gas burner on fire. I only drive diesel vehicles- and burn cooking oil at that.
LOL, that boat looks like it is older than my grandfather. You guys laugh about finding good deals, but it so fun. I am rebuilding on 1978 aquasport 222 that I bought off a guy on gainsville florida for 300$. It is a solid hull on came on an aluminum float on trailer. He even gave me new 92 gallon aluminum fuel tank.
I joined up here because I want a bigger boat also, and trojans have a good reputation. I was looking at that f30, but that is that boat looks abused. I am not necessarily try to find a boat right this second, just watching what is out there, watching something quality at a good deal. Thanks for all the info so far.
orb353- I do the same thing find "deals" and fix them up, looking at the pictures, it does not appear to have any engines in it, I myself would try to get it for less then 1k, and would expect to take a couple years going thru it and rebuilding it, but i like to do that almost as much as running them, knowing i probably wont get back what i put into it.
foofer b- I wish you hadnt posted the pic of my pride and joy.
Not a bad boat, but not sure if it's a 79. I might be wrong, but I thought that they went to the lower vent/split windshield in 78. Also, I thought they had a fiberglass deck in 79.
