Hi
It seems that the tricabins had a tendency toward rot in the sole area that you've mentioned. My boat has the same problem and it's something that I'm going to have to tackle real soon.
I'm going to rip out the deck and then have a professional (sigh) replace the corner posts and plywood sub floor. I'll then be installing Tek Dek when it comes time to re-install the deck itself.
No way around the fact that it's going to be an expensive job but necessary if I'm going to retire with this boat.
