1962 Trojan Seabreeze -soon to be new owner

I am looking at buying a '62 seebreeze 21' that is in need of some transom work and a few other things. Doing some research brought me here. I couldn't find any info for my specific model, most of the info seems to be geared towards the larger boats of the line. So here are my questions, hopefully someone can guide me a little.

What engine is in this thing? Original inline 6

Does anyone have pictures of an original or nicely restored boat of the same size range and year range so I can compare?

Is it possible to find a blueprint of the layout?

Only problem with posting on the runabout side is that the place is dead. Plus the majority of the boats seem to be smaller stuff with outboards. My new boat has more in common with the larger boats over here.

So I bought it. I will get i thome in the next week and get some pictures on here before I start the rebuild. Overall decent condition but I will have to finish the work on the transom and give her a full rebuild.

Is it epoxy and paint over the wood? What would be the suggestion for prepping the hull to reseal and paint after it sitting for a few years?

It was paint over wood no epoxy when it was built . Someone could have done a epoxy job on it at a later time

Welcome! I did come across an add for a 1962 Trojan Sea Breeze 22' in the classifieds of this newspaper...from 1969! Heck, maybe they still have it!

I thought it was supposed to just be paint over wood. Guess i'll have to look closer when I get it home. It almost looked like someone may have done a fiberglass job on it at some point or the paint forms a thick enough coat that the guy that started to do the repairs was able to cut it and peel it back like a thin fiberglass. I am reall looking forward to getting this gem back together and on the water this summer. It is reall complete inside with the head and galley still intact with the icebox looking like new. One of my favorite features was the sliding door into the cabin.

Get a Surveyor to check thaqt transom. They can check the density and amt of water in the wood. I hope it works out fr you - and welcome to the forum!
