Rodman, check it out- I made "Active User" status. Woohoo! This cold winter has stepped up my posting a lot. I will be much more scarce this spring and summer.

I found the info that I was looking for on blade tip to hull clearance. It should be approximatly 15% of the prop diameter. This means that on a 14" prop you should have 2.1" of clearance. You would have to be turning a 13" prop on an F-26 (mine any way) to achieve this. I have closer to 1 3/4" clearance on my 14" diameter prop and noise from vibration isn't really a problem.

Right - 15% - as I said earlier ... less space causes turbulence (not a terrible issue until cavitation sets in at the extreme), but it will cause more noise.
Not sure how much room the 25 & 26 have ... can't imagine a 16" will fit well ...
Foofer's 454 is testing the limit with the space that Trojans seem to have ... have to add pitch to make it up.
I run 17x20's for the same reason.

Well I tried the 14x12 LH prop Roy had it would not plain out at all. So I am not sure what to try now. I did win a 14x10 1/2 on ebay. I am going to try that one soon as it comes in.
