1977 F32 Prop Size

Post by Tuck »

I need to have my props either taken off and redone, OR just get some new ones.

The diver that I have lined up suggested I find out how much a new/redone set would cost before taking mine off to have reworked. Before I can call the local shop though, I need to know what size is standard/best for a 1977 F 32 with Chrysler 318s.

Thanks in advance!

Tuck - I've got a set of 15x16's that were on my boat when I bought it for sale if you're interested. You're not too far away, and could pick them up on a vacation trip to the coast.

What trannies (gera ratio?)?

if you don't mind, email/pm me how much you're 'axing' for 'em. also, if it's u.s. dollars, euros, or yen. :D

i haven't a clue as to the tranny/ratio question. would this information be stamped/on the units?

thanks for the info-roonie! i shoulda thought and 'axed' you first.

no, didn't hit anything...it's had a vibration in it since i got it, remember? slight vibration between something like 1800 and 2200 rpm.

anyhoos...figured it was time to get 'em redone. i want to take some long trips up the lake this season, and i don't wanna vibrate all over the place getting there.

i found a guy who'll pull the props and put them back on for a reasonable cost. lemme know if ya ever need it.

Dagnabit, that's a good lookin' boat cha got thar Tuck.
I had a vibe in one of mine and had a prop shop fix it. It was a bunch cheaper than new. $150 verses $700.
