I need help selling my wife...

Post by smplybttr »

I am a hands on kind of guy and need 'projects' to keep me busy. I have had a 36 tri cabin bookmarked for about 2 years and would love to have one. I thought I'd get the free one that turtle got, but he beat me to it. I've found a couple of others and am trying to sell my wife on it. Please give me the positives and negatives of having one, so that I can talk my wife into (or she can talk me out of) buying one...

Thanks in advance...

that's exactly what i did. no joke. luckily, she didn't give a rat's azz at the time...and now semi-likes it.

and btw...i'm disappointed in this thread. i came in here fully expecting to see a great deal on a used wife. 8)

I'm glad to see that there is a sense of humor on this board.

I thought about the 'surprise' route, but I have a feeling, I'd be living on the boat a little sooner than I'd like...

Possible responses I considered:

1. And that would be a bad thing?

and

2. That would only be an issue if you're going to have to break your current lease.

I always act without thinking and then ask forgivness if the wife objects, some how it always works, of course your need to look at her and flutter your eyes while asking foregivness :D

hanging your head as you apologize, then follow up with dinner and wine works (some times - very unpredictable subject).

Bought a shotgun last week on a whim. Didn't think that would be a big deal ... but ... thats why they call them Wo-Men !

Make sure the A/C works the first time she sees it and that the cookstove is clean. No cockroaches in the cabinets is always a plus.

First of all, buy the boat, come home announce that she needs some more/new jewelry/clothes and hand her a thousand bucks. Then show her a pic of the boat!! This usually works well for me.

Then when you start going out on it, try to make sure she doesn't have to lift a finger, with you cooking cleaning, etc. She will either love it and be ok with you going out alot, or she won't like it and then you can go by yourself, which can be a bonus!!!
