Still up on blocks. No launch date yet, depends on how fast the work I'm doing progresses. Found leaks both forward bow windows and guest stateroom window, have pulled them off along with window in head, 4 new [lexan] ones manufactured along with opaque sliding shades, to be installed and sealed w 5200 [?tommorrow?]. Forward state room gutted, mold cleaned, support for the mattress being replaced due to water damage. Already cut, varnished, ready to be screwed down. Today reupholstered padded mattress surrounds [marine vinyl leftovers...looks awesome..thank-you ebay...],vinyl wall-covering being replaced with same material...replaced a bunch of 12 volt lights with ones made this century [deal from Defender]....new slip-covers[sunbrella leftovers...thank-you ebay] for guest stateroom mattresses to be sewn...new ancor windless w remotes[another Defender deal] to be installed. teak rubrail and pulpit to be refinished.bottom needs to be touched up...thinking new through hulls, then collapse in a heap once in the wet...oh yea waxing....arg

Gee Beave, I sure feel sorry for you and Wally not being able to go boating anytime you want. :D ...... I am "Simply Blessed" to be able to leave the boat in the water year round and just fire up and go any time I want. My heart does go out to you guys.

We are getting bottom wet next weekend. Almost ready, still have a few little things to do. I will be waxing the bridge today after work. Can't wait.

four other boats on my dock and one from another dock met at a cove about five miles from the marina and tied up for the day. mass amounts of food and adult beverage were consumed (while us responsible captains maintained our non-drunken state), and loads of sun were soaked up.

i didn't get back to the dock until just after dusk. woke up this morning to find a totally fried face looking back at me in the mirrior.

ahhhhhhhhh. good times.

Ahh but with the fluids kept apart it is like a cow pat in a field... odourless.
I need the extra storage space when I switch to live aboard use next year and the lack of pumpouts and water to flush is another bonus.
