Thanks. Had it made. There is a place in Timonium that specializes in exotic wood. They put 3 8inch planks together and we cut for the transom and drilled the holes in it. Re-finish it every year with Cetol Light.

Wow, thats a clean looking boat Hank. Is the hull painted or did it polish up to that shine?

Thanks Peter, still alot to do on her. Will start working on the cabin interior this season.

Paul, not painted...thats pure Carnuba wax (3 Coats) with a Dewalt polisher and a lot of sore muscles. We have owned this boat since the fall of 05 and this is the best its looked thus far. Thanks.

Sure Freestate Timbers 410-561-9444. It cost me $480.00 in 2007. Its 1.5" thick x 24" x 8'.

Beautiful swim platform! Is it teak or mahogany? Do you have to refinish it every year?

I have swim platforms on 2 boats, and can't keep either one finished - thinking of letting them go natural, and just oil them from time to time. Thoughts?

Rossjo,

Its teak, we sand it down every spring to bare wood with 80 grit, wash the wood down with vinegar and water solution (removes the oils)put on 2 coats of Cetol Light, holds up pretty good all season. get worn spots late in the season from where we step on it to board.
