Navy Seal Aquitted of all Charges
Just heard on the news that the 1st of 3 Navy Seals was aquitted of all cahrges during his Court Martial for his role in the terrorist getting a bloddy nose. Took about 2 hours of deliberation. Hope the other two fare as well.

That's pretty good news! Considering charges should never had been brought in the first place!
We are at war...it's not a chess match! They are enemy combatents.

When this first happened they were brought before a Captains Mast and declined the non-judicial punishment and requested trial by Court Marshall, which is their right under the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice). Non-judicial punishment has several levels depending what article they are charged under, extra duty, loss of pay (portions), restriction, loss of a stipe or more. They were smart in requesting a trial by Court Marshall because then they are judged by a jury of their peers and not just the Commander.
