im very confused
ok i found a site that shows moter rotation ford and chevy std rot is ccw and chrysler std rot is cw i have a 240 hp 318 that is a rh moter with a lh fireing order fireing order is 1-2-7-5-6-3-4-8 looking at the flywheel it spins cw and the roter allso spins cw timing is ste 5deg bftdc and moter is smooth all the way up to 3500rpm am i missing something should i try changing the wires to 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 witch is std rot fireing order

I am also confused.... NOTE on the 318 the distributors spin the same direction for either engine direction.
Chrysler considers engine direction from the front of the engine (other end than the flywheel), so you have a CCW engine which turns the prop clockwise RH so your firing order is correct.
Does your engine not have tags and rotation direction markings?
