Can any one tell me the width of the sofa in an F32 or the available space between wall and window ? ? ?

No standrard sofa that I've ever heard of - its whatever size the owner put in.

FYI - a love seat or Futon is about all that fits an F32 (don't have dims here). Remember - you've got to lift the floor to get to the engines, so Sofas may not be good ...

i believe the useable space is apx 72" a little more if you dont have curtains or measure to the actual glass. i can measure for you today if you want. i have a overstuffed full size reclining love seat sofa in mine. the previous owner had a futon but i like being able to lay out when watching tv. and the wife wanted this also. it fits fine and there is still room on each side of it so its not jammed in

F32 salon Floor dimensions:
Door frame to back of galley cupboards wall 76 1/2" this is max sofa width.
opposite side to helm 89"
Width of Salon at sliding door 103 1/2"
Width along Cupboard back to steps approx: 39 1/2"
Width to steps under helm 36 3/4" makes other side more suitable for sofa style seating.
I also have a futon sofa that converts to double bed with ottoman.

Thanks for all the info....My boat is to far away to measure and I'm thinking of replacing the existing love seat.....So far 72" looks like the safe number with space for curtains.

Just so happens I am recovering my sofa/hidea bed this last weekend. It appears to be original to the boat accorinding to the tags. Mine measures exactly 72" and is a Lazy boy. I should have it done in the next two weeks.

We are doing the job ourselves so we will only have material costs.

The vinyl I located at a surplus store (marine quality) 8 yards.
we take all the old fabric off 12 hours (lot of staples) and use as a pattern.
est is 8 hours to reassemble.

this is a good thread...

i've been looking at getting a sofa type thingie for a while. only reason i haven't is the wife likes the double chairs that the previous owner horked from a hotel room.

while the horked chairs do look snazzy and all, i would like an extra sleep/lay space.

We bought Marine grade vinyl to recover all of the plywood panels on the inside of our bridge at Joannes fabrics...cost was less than half of what it cost at marine suppliers. Same for materials to redo our salon cushions.

Don't forget the sliding door width = 29" to get new or old item in/out. I had to unscrew the legs and tilt to take out. Took the hide-a-bed out first to reduce the weight. Joann fabrics headquarters and outlet store is 5 miles from my house and I can usually get marine grade vinyl there for 6 to 7 dollars a yard. The average six foot couch takes 8 yards.
