My friend had the exact same fan on his F30. Pretty cool...(no pun intended)

Tuck AC

Post by larryeddington »

What BTU rating is the one you have. Actually these marine AC units are very much like window units in that they do not leak often as they are assemble under ideal conditions at the factory. I would think given the heat transfer properties of water 92 deg water would be not big deal. If the pump is running hot then it may be the culpret with not enough volumn of h2o.

The ambiant air temp here in Texas is over a hundred and it is sufficient to condense the refrigerent back to a liquid. Water if enough volume flowing should easily do it.

You need somebody who know how to do a heat load calculation for a boat to properly size the AC Unit. I am sure someone knows how, you might check with Don our sponsor as he was in engineering at Trojan.

Ok, i found some corroded wires on a big capacitor, repaired it and found a smaller capacitor in very poor shape, outside case missing, corroded, i was able to fire up for a split second and the compressor kicked right on, but the smaller capacitor was smoking, it is trashed. My unit is a WFAH12, where can i get the replacement part i need ?

thankks

AC Parts

Post by davidsmith »

Find a AC repair man in your area and ask him where the HVAC supply houses are in your area. The capacitors are common parts you can get from most HVAC supply houses. Take the old ones with you so the can match them.
