W A N T E D.......F-32 SALON DRAPES--

Post by aaronbocknek »

good morning all, i know, i've been missing in action. long story. suffice it to say that i'm alive, in mostly good health, and still updating my f-32 (and yes, she's on the market---trying to buy a tri cabin so i'm not leaving boating) anyway, i'm not going to stop making upgrades to her, and i'd like to know if anyone is getting rid of their fabric curtains/drapes in the salon of their f-32's. i want to get rid of these awful mini blinds and go back to the curtains. of course, i will need mounting hardware too so if you are willing to part with said items at a reasonable cost, please get in touch with me.
thanks.

I may have some for ya.... I just bought a 1981 F32. My wife hasn't even seen it. I think as soon as she see's it she'll want to make some changes, first of which may be the curtains. I'll let you know in a few days.

Aaron, no drapes but hapyy to see a post from you again. Hopefully you've been absent here with posts because you've been spending too much time boating.... Mitch

almost forgot.... even though EVENT HORIZON (name does not transfer w/ new owner) is for sale, phil, maccabee and i are NOT getting out of boating. we just realize that for our needs, we would like a tri cabin. i'm searching the east coast for a well loved, well cared for, f-36 tri cabin in the 1981-1987 model year. that's the style we like, the twin berth in the aft cabin, dedicated shower stall/tub, good storage space, the flush deck, and a good sized galley...... engines/genset should be in good condition too....
now, if phil can only sell his 'flip' house so we can fund the bloody thing i will be set..... he used our home equity loan (and no, i had no idea) to fund this thing.... don't even get me started on that saga......
talk about airing one's dirty laundry.......

Good to hear from you again Aaron. Glad you are looking for a Tri-cabin. I know your dad had one and you really love them. You have been a great source of info for me.

This is our second summer in ours and we installed new aluminum fuel tanks. new furniture in the salon, new refrigerator, new cook top, new counter top and sink, new mattresses in the aft cabin and are putting in new carpet in the fall. I have done some engine and general mechanical work also. We certainly love SeaDog and just spent a great extended weekend aboard.

Hope you find a good one.

how did you manage to get the refrigerator out of the salon and get the new one in? those doors are fairly small, and dad had to cut the old one in half to remove it. i see that yours is a 1979 model year... does yours have the twin berths or the queen berth in the aft stateroom? i'm curious to know what the layout is. as for finding a good tri cabin, i know where i can probably find one, the problem is in the financing the deal..... that and the 'asking price' is currently almost 40K and the seller is not even budging on the price.... a moot point anyway as i cannot do anything until that bloody home equity loan is put back in place. frustrating to say the least...... would love to see pics of the remodel.
cheers.
