Fresh water cooling conversion kits?
My F32 isn't fresh water cooled. It's been in fresh water all of its life so it hasn't mattered... Till now. I'm going to be keeping the boat in Ocean City NJ... Does anyone have any experience with fresh water cooling conversion kits? Better yet, anyone have one for sale? LOL... I looked them up & they seem expensive. Finding a used one seems impossible.
closed cooling system
if your going the used route, check on craiglist or ebay, but make sure the heat exchangers are good shape if you buy used ones, unless the boat sank or was repowered with new complete engines, they were removed for a reason.
You can pull the end caps off easily and look through the tubes and a pressure test would tell you if the tubes or case is leaking.
also, make sure your boats bonding system and zincs are in good shape when she enters salt water, and keep an eye on them.
