Info about removing VacuFlush from forward head in 10 Meter

Info about removing VacuFlush from forward head in 10 Meter

Sorry to come whining on my first post but I can't find anyone who knows how to remove the VacuFlush from my 10 Meter aft cabin flybridge forward head.
The VacuFlush china bowl lip seems to be setting on top of the fiberglass interior, sealed with silicon! There is no other access point I can see. There is the flush lever sticking through the side of the molded in fiberglass base.
It's not accessible from the engine compartment or any other place I can find.
I know someone has replaced the seal in one of these before. The question is, how did they get to it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

here's how mine worked

on my '88 mid cabin, the vacu-flush bowl came out easily. The white trim piece around the base prys off in two sections (front/back). Once that's off you should see the four nuts that attach the toilet to the flange on the floor. The flush lever on the left will stay attached and come out with the bowl.

In my case the "floor" is a raised section of fiberglass in the head.

I had to silicone the two trim pieces back once I was done so don't be afraid to pry a little to get it off. I think this is the part that's holding you up...

Thanks a lot ... no-one in this part of the world knew how to get it out. HOWEVER, I live in Oklahoma and we are just getting use to indoor plumbing :oops:
I'll give it a try this weekend when we go to the lake again.

On my express cruiser (not mid cabin) as I recall I had access to remove the entire china bowl via the round removable deck plate above and to the left of the bowl.

We removed the enntire bowl during our engine refit as we decided to replace all the sanitation hoses and soft parts.

I don't believe there is any access panel as you can see. Is this what your's looks like?

Bob,
I don't see any "white trim piece around the base that prys off in two sections (front/back)"
Is this what yours looks like? It could be slightly different but still come off by cutting the silicone to remove. If the flush handle comes out with the bowl where does the separation take place? Does it just lift apart?

sorry, ignore my response. It can't be that hard, I would give Sealand a call and I'll bet they could tell you.

For what it's worth, that's a nicer setup than mine.
