1987 Trojan 10 meter windshield corner glass

Does anyone have any of these made up? I need both port and starboard corner windows. I believe they are made of acrylic. I removed my stb. side cracked window and brought it to a plastic shop and they said they could not make it without a mold.

Does any one have a mold made up?

If I was to make molds for these would anyone be interested in buying some of these from me?

Which windows are you talking about? I made the large plexiglass windows for the rear of the main salon on out flybridge/aft cabin. You can call me if you like at 860-667-1541.

Taylor Glass made the originally, they don't have them anymore or the molds. If it's scratched, a headlight polishing kit will make it look like new.

Mine has a spider crack down near the bottom but hasn't gotten any worse. I've seen a few like this so it's pretty common.

Mine are ok but I would be interested in knowing someone who had the mold if needed. My rubber gaskets don't look so great which I assume is the case for everyone by now.

WES, I am talking about the radiussed window that makes the transition from the side glass to the front glass. I attached a pic of a random boat i found on the internet. The window i need is for a 10 meter express not flybridge. It is the plastic curved window at the corner.

Well not sure if I can help, but let me share with you what I am going through right now.

My boat was hauled up from FL to NJ about a month ago. It was loaded on the truck with with the stern facing forward, between the speed of the truck and severe wind, the starboard side curved window broke out of the frame and is gone.

Here is a pic....

I found Select Plastics in East Norwalk CT 2038663767 through this forum, but they do not have an oven large enough to handle the job. They referred me to Plastic Craft in West Nyack NY 845-358-3010. The frame is there now and the job is started. They have to make a mold first. Ohh yeah, just to let u know, they knew they had me and I feel they soaked me so be aware!!!

That being said, I will now own this mold, so take some measurements, lets see if we have a match

If it does match, I can either send you the mold or just drop it back off at Plastic Craft and they can send you the finished piece. Hope this helps...

Doug they sure did soak you. I actually think the price of the mold is reasonable, maybe a tad high, $500 is more like it. But what got me on your estimate was the price of the window! Ouch. I was told i could have one (window) made for no more than $200 as long as the mold was made correctly.

I am curious to see if they are the same size and i will take measurements today and get back to you. Maybe i can have the port side mold fabricated and we can lease them out to members.

Oh yeah, mine broke the same way as your. On the trailer returning from Florida, could not get transported to pay for it.

I would take those transporters to small claims court, they have to have enough insurance to cover the cost of any damage done to the load they are hauling, if you can prove that they were not broke before being loaded on the truck, then they are responsible for it being broke and have to pay to have it fixed.

I am just purchasing a 9 meter and would be interested in new corner windows if they are the same as yours. The ones on this boat are serviceable but have small cracks at the bottom. If you have rough dimensions i could check mine once the boat is delivered

It would seem the one on the other side is exactly the same but the reverse. If so, seems like it would not be too difficult to make a plaster or some material casting and reverse it, somewhat like the dentists do.

In principal, yeah take em to court, in reality, don't have the time nor do I want to put the energy into chasing around 1300 bucks.

Knowing my luck, it would probably cost me double. ha ha ha
