1966 28ft Seabreeze Express Cruiser Wiring Diagram needed

Post by DSB123 »

Can anyone help? Im looking for the wiring diagram for a 1966 28ft Seabreeze Express Cruiser online. Also wondering if the house battery and the starter battery are supposed to be daisy chained, or isolated from each other. The last owner had them daisey chained, but I suspect this to be wrong.. :?

Contact Don at Beacon Marine, the sponsors of this forum. They should be able to help out with the wiring diagram. Not sure how you daisy chain batteries......sounds illegal and nasty. If you mean they are wired in parallel without a way to isolate them (ie battery switch for starters) then you have one big battery at 12V. If wired in series (pos to neg) then you have doubled your voltage and most likely fried the electicals on the boat.....doubt you did that.

Ideally there should be two separate battery banks. A deep cycle for the house bank and a crank battery for the engine. This is what the two different batteries are designed to do.
