Weekend Outing

Post by foofer b »

Three dive buddies and I cruised 13 miles offshore from Jacksonville, and had a great day diving and fishing. It was beautiful, with 1 foot or less seas, and 85 degrees with a soft breeze. Luckily, all the thunderstorms went around us. Here I am with the first dive's catch and the next pic is my dive buddy, Wayne.

Scuba diving looks like great fun. My granddaughter, took scuba lessons and is certified to go down to 60 feet. After graduating next year, she may move to Florida where she has other family and go to collage to further gain experience in it. It's a long word and I can't spell it.
Really enjoyed the pic's. :D

Speaking of fishing regulations, how is it in this land we have come to have (and mostly accept), unelected bureaucracies passing "regulations" that in effect have the rule of law. They are unelected and have no accountability. They have closed the snapper season here all year and their goal is to close fishing for 20 years.

OK, I will try it. I did ask her what it was, and she said, an "Oceanographer". (she spelled it for me) Sounds like great work, something I would be interested in, if I were 50 years younger, and could spell better! :D

I know it is a true pain... thankfully I fish for fun, but to those who make thier living fishing, and are following in their fathers and granfathers footsteps they are truly screwed..... the "rule" set forth by the marine fisheries does not equate with the numbers
