I have a question on my boat leveler trim tabs. Can I use transmission fluid in the reservoir? or do I need something else? Thanks.............John

Yes, you can use ATF.

in case you have no info on the trim tabs. here is a link to the insta trim website the manufacturer, under the BLEED section it also gives atf as the optional fluid

Yup. ATF is fine, and the website is excellent, as well as their tech support. Check you hoses after and/or before each season. Easy to replace and the company also has replacement parts in stock.

ATF - Mercn or Dexron - doesn't matter .

I would stay with the same type after you use it.
