but you could pick up some 3/4 rolled steel and have it chromed and just drill and put a set screw in the back with an allen key. Or do the knobs thread on? if they do same thing only drill a bigger hole on the bottom, thread it and put a small nut on first to tighten against to prevent spinning

I want to install these newer morse controls. A little pricey but they do what you are looking for.
now those look cool! They have gone one simpler than I thought and drilled 2 holeswith a nut inside and the plastic cap...no having to use a die to thread it

those are the ones I installed on my mid cabin, they're really nice. Great Lakes is usually a lot cheaper, I got them for $267 (did shift and throttle) back in January from Boatfix.

i was not suggesting you do that. imo you dont want the controls connected that would really hinder you theres alot of times i use each throttle independtly and if tied together you could not vary each engine seperately if/when needed. i dont think that would be a good thing
