New to Trojan, looking for 12v diagram

Post by rbcool »

I just bought a 1987 F36 Tri Cabin that had had every scrap of info with her except the 12v diagram for the helm wiring. My wipers are the only thing not working and I can't figure it out. Does anybody know where I can find a copy of these types of diagrams? Thanks....Ron 8)

Check with Bob here on the forum...The sedan and Tricabin should be the same. Someone here has the diagram and will be able to help. I'm away for a few days and don't have info handy.

Welcome to the forum.

Mine is a '79 but you are welcome to the diagram if you think it will help.

Bob here at Beacon Marine has all of the actual manufacturing blueprints for each individual Trojan so I am sure he has your exact one.

Let me know if you want me to copy mine from the manual & send it to you.

Hi there...I had the same issue with mine, it was a simple (or not so simple!) ground issue. For whatever reason when I grounded out the window frame the wipers worked. I'm assuming the windshield frame at some point in its mounting has a ground connected to it and I assume the wiper motors use the window frame as a ground. I could be completely wrong with this, but its worked for me for nearly three years now.

Thanks guys..... I am so glad to have found this place. I'm going to try grounding out the frame tomorrow.

...............Paul.... You Are A God !!!!!!!!!.............

Now RB, take it easy. Paul already thinks that he won the Kentucky Derby a couple of times.

Good to see another tricabin owner and drivin' in the rain is definitely a lot easier with the wipers on.

LOL.... your right! When I found out they didn't work it was in the pouring rain in 4' seas, not pleasant. I'm also glad to see other Tri folks out here. Had never even known about them till I bought this one.
